Power Noodle rods are unparalleled for catching those light biting panfish and crappies, yet they are strong enough to handle most midwest fish. This example is fitted with a spalted maple handle and the thread art also functions to stiffen the bottom of the blank. This adds to the plethora of fish that you can catch with this rod as it will handle larger fish, such as splake, coho salmon as well as lake trout (really! - landed a 24" lake trout last March in Skanee Bay, Michigan on 3 lb line). The guides are SIC (first guide) or titanium fly rod guides.
